The purpose of this website is to obtain information regarding all Pontic Tour tourist programs and offers, information about the destinations promoted, newsletter subscription, Pontic Tour products purchase, booking and by e-mail, etc. Any use for purposes other than this is not allowed.

4. Terms and Conditions of Hotel Booking

Hotels prices are not guaranteed unless on a confirmed booking. Meals included in each tariff are specified in section Meals on Pontic Tour website. In certain countries it is possible to perceive local taxes payable directly at the hotel. The hotel management is entitled to ask on arrival credit card details or a deposit to cover and guarantee any additional costs that may occur during your stay. Accommodation is usually made between 12:00 to 14:00, local time, on the day of the arrival scheduled in the booking. To avoid problems with accommodation, please inform us if you arrive later at the hotel. Guestroom distribution is done at the hotel reception and any problem of room location or appearance shall be settled by the client directly at the reception, attended by the representative of the agency. All hotels published on www.pontictour.com require that at least one of the passengers is over 18 years old. In case of absence at the hotel, a minimum penalty of one night will apply (until the maximum cost of the entire stay, according to the hotel's cancellation policy). Reimbursement solicitations, as a result of non-utilization, in whole or in part, of tourism services must be accompanied by a written confirmation from the hotel. This confirmation does not guarantee the return of the countervalue of unused services and will be honored only if the hotel accepts the return of the countervalue. All bookings will be honored only for persons whose name the booking was made on. Name changes are not permitted.

In case of fortuitous inability to honor the reservation, Pontic Tour reserves the right to substitute the hotel and other services initially confirmed, by others of the same category or higher, without any other compensation in exchange or return of the money integrally if not possible to offer an alternative. The types of rooms can depend on the availability of that type of hotel room and may vary by hotel and / or country.

Star rating of accommodation units is officially attributed by the resort ministries of those countries and as such, meets local standards. The criteria and specific requirements can differ from country to country and as a consequence, the classification of hotels only provides a general idea of ​​the quality of the hotel and an approximate level of facilities, services and commodities.

Pontic Tour is not responsible for this variety in terms of hotel classification between countries, types of rooms and hotel information related to these issues. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that the booked room type is suitable for the number of travelers.

Any complaints must be submitted in writing at Pontic Tour within maximum 30 days from the date of exiting the hotel. We will not consider complaints that have not been submitted to hotel’s attention during the client’s stay. Any complaint must be reported to the hotel immediately. We are not responsible for compensating any situation that could be solved on the spot if the hotel had been informed. Pontic Tour will not be responsible for any inconvenience or results of unforeseen circumstances such as floods, earthquakes, riots, terrorist acts, acts of government or change of authority in a country, adverse weather conditions or renovations to the hotel which were not communicated to us in advance.

After booking, please check and make sure that all parts of the voucher (such as hotel address, hotel information, city and country) are correct. This way you will be protected from any inconvenience caused by a system failure.

5. Terms and Conditions of Booking and Sale of Airline Tickets

When booking, you will receive from Pontic Tour information regarding the flight price (valid at the time of the booking) and information on the conditions, restrictions and rules applicable to the plane ticket, which can be purchased under the said bookings. All conditions, rules and restrictions applicable to a plane ticket are dictated by the airline company and other factors (eg. the visa obligation), irrespective of Pontic Tour will. These rules, as well as the plane ticket price, can be changed by the will of those that have imposed them, until the actual purchase of the ticket, without holding responsible Pontic Tour in any way. After issuing the plane ticket, full responsibility regarding the travel effectuation rests with the airline company. Each tourist is personally responsible for the compliance with the passport service provisions, customs, health, etc. of the country which he travels in. Each client must inform himself regarding compulsory visas at consulates and embassies of countries where it plans to travel.

6. Round Trip Terms and Conditions

The group attendant can modify the round trip program per days, including the order in which sights are visited, according to certain objective conditions (bad weather conditions, etc.), without affecting the overall structure of the program. Pontic Tour is not responsible for any changes in flight schedules or days, operated by airline companies nor for any changes of the program occurred because of them. Our agency shall not be held responsible for changing the tourism program, when it is due to reasons of force majeure or circumstances that neither the Agency nor the service providers could foresee or prevent (delays in air traffic, changes of the airport or program due to political movements, strikes, natural disasters, etc.). In these cases, Pontic Tour will make every effort to overcome the situation occurred, but shall not be held liable for any additional costs involved. Pontic Tour is not responsible for situations where customs or airport authorities denied boarding the Tourist or do not grant him permission to enter or exit a country and fees generated by this situation shall not be attributed to the Agency. Pontic Tour shall not be held liable for loss of baggage and personal objects of tourists (regardless of cause).

7. Payment Terms and Conditions. Cancellation Conditions and Penalties

For airline tickets, payment is made integrally when issuing them.

For ground services, Early Booking without discounts, payment is made in the amount of 50 % when booking, 50 % 21 days before departure. For ground services including Early Booking, payment must be carried out 50 % when booking and the remaining 50 % until the reduction expiry date of the Early Booking.

For requests received less than 21 days before the departure date, full payment is made at time of the booking. Payment can be made in Euro or in Lei (in which case BNR exchange rate from the day of payment + 2 % rate of currency risk shall be used). Conditions of cancellation of a tour package, as well as the amount of penalties are stipulated separately in the Agreement with the Tourist, ending when acquiring that package. Penalties can amount to 100 % of the value of the tourism package.
